Merge Rush: 2048 Puzzle ("App") is a swipe-based number merge puzzle game. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Summary: Merge Rush works entirely offline. It does not require you to create an account, and it does not contain advertisements, in-app purchases, or any third-party SDK. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, and no data is sent to any server we operate. Your scores and settings stay on your device only.

1. Information We Collect

Merge Rush does not require registration, sign-in, or any personal details to play. We do not operate a backend server and do not collect:

Your name, email address, or any account credentials
Location data
Contacts, camera, or microphone access
Advertising or device identifiers
Usage analytics or crash reports

The App stores the following data locally on your device only, using AsyncStorage, and this data never leaves your device unless you uninstall the App (which erases it):

Game state — the current board layout, score, and selected mode, so you can resume play
Best scores — your highest score for Classic and Rush modes
Preferences — theme (dark/light), sound, and vibration toggle settings

2. Advertising and In-App Purchases

Merge Rush contains no advertisements of any kind and offers no in-app purchases. No advertising SDK (including Google AdMob) is integrated into the App, and no advertising identifiers or ad interaction data are collected.

3. Offline Operation

The App functions entirely offline. Gameplay, scoring, and settings do not require an internet connection and are not sent to any server operated by us. We do not use Firebase, Firestore, or any other backend database.

4. Over-the-Air (OTA) App Updates

The App uses Expo's OTA update service (expo-updates) to deliver minor JavaScript updates without requiring a Play Store download. This process checks for and downloads update bundles from Expo's update servers. It does not transmit your game data, scores, or personal information — only a check for available app updates is performed.

5. Data Storage and Security

All gameplay data is stored locally on your device via AsyncStorage and is never transmitted to us. Because we do not operate a server that receives this data, there is no server-side database of your game activity for us to secure, lose, or breach.

6. Third-Party Services

Merge Rush integrates the following third-party service:

Expo (EAS Update): Delivery of over-the-air app updates only

We do not integrate any advertising, analytics, crash reporting, authentication, or payment services in this App.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all gameplay data is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App from your device. We do not retain any copy of this data on our end.

8. Children's Privacy

Merge Rush is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will investigate.

9. Your Rights

Because Merge Rush does not collect or store personal data on any server we control, there is no personal data held by us for you to request access to, correct, or delete. Your locally stored game data can be cleared at any time via your device settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
