Your journal entries are sent to the Anthropic Claude API to generate your personalised weekly digest. This processing occurs on Anthropic's servers. Entries are sent as part of an API request and are subject to Anthropic's data handling policies. We do not use your journal entries to train AI models. Only Pro plan users have their entries processed by Claude. Free plan users' entries are not sent to the Claude API.
Your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, a secure cloud database. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and at rest by Firebase. Access to your data is restricted by Firestore security rules — only you can read or write your own journal entries.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, or deletion.
Pro plan subscriptions are processed by Razorpay. We do not receive, store, or process your payment card details. Razorpay handles all payment processing in accordance with PCI DSS standards. You can review Razorpay's privacy policy at: https://razorpay.com/privacy/
We use Resend to deliver your weekly AI digest emails. Your email address is shared with Resend solely for the purpose of delivering these emails. Resend does not use your email address for any other purpose. You can unsubscribe from digest emails at any time by downgrading to the Free plan or contacting us.
We use PostHog to collect anonymised usage analytics such as page views and feature usage. This helps us understand how the App is used and improve the experience. PostHog does not collect the content of your journal entries. You can review PostHog's privacy policy at: https://posthog.com/privacy
If you grant notification permission, your Expo push notification token is stored in our database and used to deliver your weekly digest notification. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.

We retain your journal entries and account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your journal entries, mood data, and personal information will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
Daily Journal + AI Insights is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
